• Trip Report

From George.Anthony@21:1/5 to All on Wed Oct 26 12:08:58 2022
I have been doing a lot of traveling this past year but haven't really mentioned it so...

We just got back from a trip up through the mid west.Spent time in
Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio among others along the route from Texas to
the Michigan UP. Gasoline prices varied from a low of $2.98 in Texas to
a high of $4.39 in Michigan. Of note and a fact, blue state prices were
always higher than those in the red states.

Now, about the journey. We stayed a few days in Wisconsin and ate cheese
until it was coming out of our ears. I can't say much for cheese curds,
though. We visited the Wisconsin Dells area. From my perspective, don't
    waste your time.

On to the UP. The fall colors were spectacular. The best I've ever seen
and I've been to the Smoky mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina,
S/W Colorado and the northeast in fall among others including Nova
    Scotia, CA.

We took a boat trip over to Mackinaw Island. Nice enough place but it's
more for honeymooner types in my estimation. And you have to watch our
step. I did find out that most of the boats that run between the
mainland and the island were built in Louisiana. I guess you can't beat
    that Cajun craftsmanship.

All in all a nice journey. Mostly good weather the whole way (it is
October after all). We did get a couple of barely perceptible snow
    flurries in Michigan.

At seven to eight miles per Biden gallon, I guess I will be parking the
RV for a few months to recuperate.

So. Look, at the end of the day going forward, you've been, like, out
there literally pumping toxins into the air of non-Texans. Look, all
those people don't live in Texas for a reason, you know. So, you
should be, like, ashamed of yourself and somebody should hold you
accountable by - at the very least - revoking the reciprocity of your
driver's license until you get an ERV.

Indeed! It was a pleasure to read as compared to so many of the nitwit
    notes around it. Thanks, George.

Take care and be well all,

Hey, dustyguy. At the end of the day going forward, it should be
literally obvious to the most casual observer or self-identified
participant that trip reports in the current RORT context should be
tagged as Off Topic by any reasonable metric as redefined during the transitory passage of time.

At ease. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.
