IIRC, we had a slave day, back in 1962, when I was an
enlightened CA, HS, student? It was nothing like having a genuine
24kt slave, as one can well imagine... BTW, I neither purchased,
nor was a slave on those days... I wonder if this sort of
historical occurrence might be taught as part of a CRT project,
to poison the minds of our youth?

I'm just glad I was a kid back in the day when you could play cowboys
and indians and not get canceled......and go to the Sat matinee at the
Bijou wearing your cowboy outfit complete with tied down hogleg cap
pistols. However comma eventually they made us check our guns at the refreshment counter because they couldn't stop kids from popping off
caps to help the good guys stop the outlaws. 'Course we also had a few
little assholes who helped the outlaws. However comma again at the end
of the decades going forward, most of them probably died on the mean
streets or in the Graybar Hotel. What goes around comes around.
Gimme a shot of rye and leave the bottle, bartender........and don't
