• Question For StarLink Guru bfh

From kmiller@21:1/5 to All on Sun Jul 10 19:18:35 2022
    Hey, bill!

Sometime, not too long after I got this thing, I was on a webpage that
showed a satellite view of the US and Canada with a representation of my
dish and links to the satellited my dish could see traveling overhead.
It was pretty cool but. unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it since.

Do you know the page? Got a link?

I'm glad we're not playing for money.

Why do you suppose my speed is going down as more sats go up? My first
    30 days averaged 102. My last 30 averaged 65.

This is my personal opinion literally and completely unsubstantiated by
any facts (sort of like a post from Honk) but as more sats go up more
satlinks are also installed and the user load on the system goes up.

    Down - 112.84
    Up - 5.7
    Ping - 45

Seems to be slower in the local evening when more folk are using it.

Well then bygod, Musk needs to stop wasting time and attention on
Twaddle, and direct his efforts toward solving passenger load and
traffic problems, or Starlink might become worse than the airlines.

all the Starlinked RVs come south this winter and park in MY satellite footprint.

You can't blame them for wanting to flatspot on the Georgian deep woods
dirt roads. Besides, maybe they're looking for those 11,780 votes!

It's the freeloading at Walmart that's gonna suck on my sats.......but
I'll still have my DSL for ordering for grocery pickup.

Your Walmart has deep woods and dirt roads? Does it have rusty pickups
on blocks and busted sofas in front, too?

I deleted my DSL. They said they were gonna email me info for sending
back their router but I suspect that was BS too. Or, maybe they're
    sending instructions via DSL!

Besides, maybe they're looking for those 11,780 votes! HawHawHaw!

I can't imagine any Northerners wanting to do that. Besides, those votes
are gone - they were hidden at the Georgia Guidestones.
