"Russia's elite wants to eliminate Putin, they have already chosen a
    successor - intelligence"
    SUNDAY, 20 MARCH 2022, 11:40

"A group of influential people who oppose President Vladimir Putin and
who plan to assassinate him, is forming among the Russian business and political elite, according to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of
the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

    Source: Chief Directorate of Intelligence

Details: The goal of this group is to remove Putin from power as soon as possible and restore economic ties with the West, destroyed by the war
    in Ukraine.

Quote: "A part of Russia's political elite sees Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov as Putin's successor. It is Bortnikov who
has recently fallen out of favour with the Russian dictator. The
official reason for the FSS leader's downfall is fatal miscalculations
    in the war against Ukraine.

It was Bortnikov and his department who were responsible for analysing
the views of the Ukrainian population and the capacity of the Ukrainian
    army.

It is known that Bortnikov and some other influential members of the
Russian elite are considering various options for removing Putin from
power. In particular, poisoning, sudden illness, or other "accident" is
    not excluded.

It is possible that these processes are connected with the recent "leak"
of the location of Chechen units in the north of Kyiv. "

More details: According to intelligence, this leak may have been
intended both to weaken Kadyrov's influence and as an attempt to
establish cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities in advance,
bypassing the current leadership of the Russian Federation."

It has been reported that Putin currently has this guy under house arrest. Everyone has been assuming it was because he gave Putin terrible
advice about the Ukraine. It looks like there could be a lot more to
    this story.

Now, if you've gotten this far I suppose you might be a little
curious about this source. I know I was. They might actually be a good
source of information on the war.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pravda

"Pravda (Russian: Правда, IPA: [ˈpravdə] (audio speaker iconlisten), "Truth") is a Russian broadsheet newspaper, formerly the official
newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, when it was one of
the most influential papers in the country with a circulation of 11
million.[1] The newspaper began publication on 5 May 1912 in the Russian Empire, but was already extant abroad in January 1911.[2] It emerged as
a leading newspaper of the Soviet Union after the October Revolution.
The newspaper was an organ of the Central Committee of the CPSU between
    1912 and 1991.[3]

After the dissolution of the Soviet Union Pravda was sold off by Russian President Boris Yeltsin to a Greek business family in 1996, and the
paper came under the control of their private company Pravda International.[1][4]

In 1996, there was an internal dispute between the owners of Pravda International and some of the Pravda journalists which led to Pravda
splitting into different entities. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation acquired the Pravda paper, while some of the original Pravda journalists separated to form Russia's first online paper (and the first
online English paper) Pravda.ru, which is not connected to the Communist Party.[4][5] After a legal dispute between the rival parties, the
Russian court of arbitration stipulated that both entities would be
allowed to continue using the Pravda name.[6]

The Pravda paper is today run by the Communist Party of the Russian
Federation, whereas the online Pravda.ru is privately owned and has international editions published in Russian, English, French and
    Portuguese."

It looks like the "genius" may have stepped on a banana peel. If
they manage to knockoff Vlad all sorts of interesting information could
come out of Russia while the new guy is trying to make nice with the
West. Who knows? Maybe we'll learn more about his supposed bromance.
