• Ammon Bundy doxes judge and issues 'chilling call to action' for militi

I actually hesitated to post this one because it's long and
complex. But I've bumped into this one more than once today *and* it's
an interesting example of what's happening with our far far right Brown
Shirts. Who, BTW, have no sense of irony, because that's one of the
insults they're using against the local authorities. These people are so
far far to the right that they consider the police their enemy and they
think hospitals are paid to kill people.

My condensed version of what's going on is that this is the second
time the baby has been taken away from momma because it was
malnourished. The first time, after they got the kid back to a healthy
weight, they gave the kid back to momma. On a follow up they found the
kid seriously malnourished again. The parents disappeared for awhile and
when they finally met up with the police the terrible police put the kid
in the hospital again. "The horror!" In the far far right the kid has
become a celebrity. There's a GoFundMe. But, that isn't for the kid.
It's for the parents legal defense. These wingnuts consider the kid
"medically kidnapped". They're showing up at officials homes to loudly
    protest.

A small irony here: Idaho is only one of 6 states with faith
healing is a legal defense if the kid dies from a disease without
getting real medical care. In 1972 every state passed a faith healing
exemption to avoid losing Federal funding. The Feds were protecting
religious freedumb. Most places have decided it's more important to keep
the kids alive until they can make their own medical decisions.

So, anyhow, 3 links. The first one is the shortest and easiest.
The second one is in between. The third one is the longest, and the most entertaining if you have any sort of anti-fascist sentiments.

Cool, thanks, good stuff. This is very relevant here in Oregon and
the rest of the PNW, both for residents and travelers. I had not
realized that the Bundys had become a cult. I'm not surprised. Here's a
link to both seasons, where you can read or listen to this story.

Depending on your POV, that's either scary or hopeful - go far enough
right, and you fall into a wormhole and come out the other end a liberal.

I’m not that far right. I’m only a little right of Attila the Hun.

At the end of the day going forward, everything's literally on the
table, so keep an eye out, and if you come to a fork in the space-time discontinuity, err on the side of caution and take it.

Here's a forgotten little corner of the orange asshole's supposed "strength" in Europe:

"Trump campaign guts GOP’s anti-Russia stance on Ukraine"

    "By Josh Rogin

    Josh Rogin
Columnist covering foreign policy and national security

    July 18, 2016
The Trump campaign worked behind the scenes last week to make sure the
new Republican platform won’t call for giving weapons to Ukraine to
fight Russian and rebel forces, contradicting the view of almost all
Republican foreign policy leaders in Washington.

Throughout the campaign, Trump has been dismissive of calls for
supporting the Ukraine government as it fights an ongoing Russian-led intervention. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, worked as a
lobbyist for the Russian-backed former Ukrainian president Viktor
Yanukovych for more than a decade.

Still, Republican delegates at last week’s national security committee platform meeting in Cleveland were surprised when the Trump campaign orchestrated a set of events to make sure that the GOP would not pledge
to give Ukraine the weapons it has been asking for from the United States." [snip]

Vlad was probably very impressed by this amazing show of strength.
