• Why are there still apes?

From Technobarbarian@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 15 15:04:56 2022
"Trump-backed Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker recently
delivered a diatribe that cast doubt on the science of evolution.

As reported by Huffington Post, Walker made the remarks while speaking
at the Sugar Hill Church in Georgia this past Sunday.

“At one time, science said man came from apes, did it not?" Walker asked rhetorically. "If that is true, why are there still apes? Think about it."

The church's lead pastor, Chuck Allen, then jumped into to tell Walker,
"Now you’re getting too smart for us.""

Well, as another poster here might say (and paraphrasing a mite), "At
the end of the day going forward, you gotta stop treating them literally
like one of the people in your statistical metrics. You're almost as bad
as their doctor, dentist, optometrist, and mechanic - and are wrong
almost as often. Also, you liberals and scientists and statisticians
don't have a patent on "evolving"."

Theory don't mean squat if it don't work.

Baltimore, Oakland, Atlanta and Chicago try to train their apes
by placing them in positions of government.

    It never works.

The apes either wind up in jail, or swinging around town using
streetlamps because they can't understand how to use public
    transportion.
