This story must be extra funny for you, since you posted it twice. Your negativity is reaching new lows. I don't see anything funny here:
"Chicago's first homicide of the year took place just moments into New
Year's Day, as the Windy City continues to suffer from an uptick in
violent crime.
The Chicago Police Department told Fox News that its officers responded
to reports of a shooting in the 7000 block of South Wabash Avenue early Monday morning. A 53-year-old man was shot "multiple" times and
pronounced dead on scene."
There are 6 states that had a higher homicide rate than IL last
year. All of them are in the south. Here in OR our homicide rate was
much lower than TX. Mississippi's homicide rate was almost double the
rate of IL.
Homicides per 100,000 population in 2023:
Mississippi - 23.7/100K
Illinois - 12.3/100K
Texas - 8.2/100K
California - 6.4/100K
Oregon - 5.9/100K
