Israeli drones bombed a medical convoy transporting at least 15
critically wounded patients from Al-Shifa Hospital to Egypt on 3
November, in an attack that came less than an hour after US State
Secretary Anthony Blinken called for a “humanitarian pause” to the genocide unfolding in Gaza.
Dozens are believed ot have been killed and hundreds were injured by
the attack.
Ashraf al-Qudra, the Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman in Gaza,
told reporters that critically wounded patients were being moved to
the Rafah crossing for treatment in Egypt when the Israeli attack hit
just outside Al-Shifa Hospital.
“We informed the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, we informed the whole world, that those victims were lined up in those ambulances,” he said. “This was a medical convoy.”
Al-Shifa Hospital is the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip. It
currently holds over 5,000 patients and tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians.
The Israeli army has yet to comment on the new massacre. Tel Aviv has continuously claimed that Hamas’s main command center is located under Al-Shifa Hospital.
However, this claim was utterly discredited by Norwegian doctor Mads
Gilbert, who told Democracy Now earlier this week there is "no
evidence at all" of the alleged Hamas base.
Minutes before the attack, Blinken spoke to reporters in Tel Aviv,
saying that he discussed with Israeli leaders the possibility of "humanitarian pauses" in Gaza that could “increase security for
civilians and permit more effective and sustainable delivery of assistance.”
"A number of legitimate questions were raised by Israel, including how
to connect the pause to the release of hostages and how to make sure
Hamas doesn't use these pauses to its own advantage. These are issues
we need to tackle urgently, and we believe it can be solved," Blinken
said.
The White House official made no mention of Israel's continued
violations of humanitarian law.
His visit came as officials in Washington are warning Tel Aviv that
the atrocities committed by the Israeli army in Gaza are quickly
“eroding support” for the war and can have “dire strategic consequences."
The attack on the medical convoy was launched right after Hezbollah
Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel that “all options are
on the table” on the Lebanese front.

You left out the rest of the story. The Israelis were targeting Hamas
that were using the convoy as human hostages. Hamas is know for this.
And Hamas is responsible for any deaths caused by it.

We blew up the refugee center because Abdul al Fugazi was hiding in the
sub basement. Yeah, we missed 2 years of planning but we're omniscient
now.
