The Jessica Chambers murder case remains unsolved. However, it
did result in a secondary drug investigation that landed 17
suspected gang members behind bars.
"She unfortunately was murdered by some vicious animals, and
while investigating it this is what we uncovered," Panola
County Sheriff Dennis Darby told FOX13. "It's getting bigger and
bigger. "
"Operation Bite Back" lasted nearly a year, and it involved six
different law enforcement agencies. They spent that time period
investigating criminal activity of three gangs in Panola County.
"The charges range from drugs and weapons and counterfeiting, so
it is a variety of charges," FBI Special agent Donald Alway said.
Some of the charges are federal, while others are of the state
and local variety. Federal agents told FOX13 nine people were
arrest last night. Many of the others who were hit with
indictments were already in jail.
"Some of these individuals are connected previously, even though
they are part of the same investigation," Agent Alway said
The FBI told FOX13 they have had an increased presence in Panola
County for the last year.
"Based on some of the concerns that law enforcement partners
have raised and the community have raised, that will continue
until the investigation is concluded. "

Edward House (39) -- distribution of powder cocaine &

Joshua Cannon (25) -- Cocaine possession
Anand Vijay Shegog (39) -- Sale of a controlled substance
Mondarious Armstead (23) -- Drunk public; receiving stolen
property; possession, sale, transfer of stole firearm
Gregory B. Andrews (22) -- distribution of powder cocaine (2x)
D’lirian Case (18) -- Attempt to pass of counterfeit and passing
counterfeit.
Janicholas Vankeith Scott (34) -- Sale of cocaine
James Mosely, Jr. (26) -- Robbery, sale of cocaine, presenting
false cocaine in state
George Todd (23) -- attempt to pass counterfeit
Dedrick Ivery (39) -- Possession of controlled substance; child
abuse; firearm enhancement; felon possession of firearm in the
proximity to school/church
Antonio Johnson (28) -- Possession controlled substance with
intent
Xavier Hooks (25) -- Possession gun felon; possession of a
stolen gun
Kevin Windfield (37) -- Sale of a controlled substance
Elgin Lamar (38) -- Possession controlled substance (x2);
Possession controlled substance with intent, child endangerment
