The teenage son of a pregnant Texas woman was charged on Monday
with first-degree murder in her death.

Nita Moseley, 33, was found dead by a neighbor in her La Marque
home on Saturday, according to KHOU. Her 14-year-old son was
later questioned by police and has been described as
“cooperative in the investigation,” the Houston Chronicle
reported.

No cause of death or motive has been released and the suspect
has not yet been named.

“She did any and everything for her son,” a neighbor told KHOU.
“They got along great. Her son was a good student.”

Cops confirmed to the Houston Chronicle that Moseley was
pregnant at the time of her death, and a friend told KHOU that
Moseley was four months into the pregnancy.

The neighbor that found Moseley, apparently dead for several
days when she was found, checked on her after he saw the front
door to her house open.

“Saturday morning when I drive by, and I saw the door open,
that’s when I figured something was wrong,” the man told
Click2Houston. “I thought maybe someone had broken in the house
or something, and that’s when I found the unfortunate event that
happened.”

Moseley’s son was reported missing after her body was found and
a 2014 black Nissan Maxima was reported stolen. Cops located the
boy and the car in Houston on Sunday, according to the Chronicle.

La Marque is about 50 miles south of Houston.
