• How Many

From billv@21:1/5 to All on Thu Apr 30 10:58:35 2020
How many babies above the statistically anticipated crop for the
relevant period starting November of 2020 will there be as a result of
families sheltering together 24/7 on account of governmental mandates in response to Covid19?

I suggest that the protests against "stay at home" orders are happening
because sex and other diversions aren't enough to occupy the great
unwashed over a period longer than a week or two.

Interestingly, Sweden with no lockdown at all hasn't fared very badly.

Perhaps only because they are late to the party.

I would say, wait another month before passing judgment on
    Sweden's approach.

Even if they are successful, it is not certain that the Swedish
approach would be successful in other countries. Sweden is
thinly populated, and, perhaps because of their climate or for
    cultural reasons, people behave differently.

Good points, when we get further along it will be interesting to
compare their immediate neighbors. Hindsight, when we get there,
    will be 100% accurate.

For Europe the aftermath of August should also tell us a lot,
if Europe does this year as Europe usually does. Most of my European
relatives in my generation were already in their graves when this
Covid19 broke out, so I don't get direct news from Europe any longer.

I now have to watch their television on the internet and sometimes
language becomes a bit of a barrier. Interestingly the politicians
have the best enunciation, but what can you believe from them,
everything is filtered and sitting in America I have no insight
what the thrust of their political agendas is.

With family of my generaion I knew I could trust what they told me.
Sadly that's not equally true for the next generation.
