    Anyone have other experiences?

There have been many discussions of all sorts about IQ in this
and other newsgroups. The general consensus seems to have been
that all IQ measures is a level of success taking the test. Look,
instead, at the level of success, of the people you're observing,
    in their environment.

It came to my attention that the actor playing the role of "Mr. Bean"
is alleged to have an extremely high IQ (the number presented was 178)
but where the rubber meets the road he's just an actor, successful,
    but still just an actor.

Just another actor with an MS in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s College, Oxford. Surely you read this in your cite.

Other equally successful actors have an IQ
    of 100 +/- 10.

You offer absolutely no support for this claim. Nor do you for Bean having an IQ of 178. It's popular to inflate IQ's, and to assign arbitrary numbers for the IQ of people. I read recently that George Washington had an IQ of 140. "EXACTLY 140", the
    website posted.

" 'Mr. Bean' is alleged " As to the est, whatever "claim" you wish to
make is OK by me and good luck with your problems. The discussion above,
many months old by now, was a soft discussion, not a peer reviewed
    formal paper.
