    Dirty Old Man

I need some deodorant, I need some shampoo
Not that it matters because you’ll never approve
I can get myself washed up, the best that I can
But I’m still a dirty, a dirty old man

I close the blinds, so no one sees in
I lock the door, cause I got no friends
I watch the TV and I rage and I rant
Cause I’m a dirty, a dirty old man

    CHORUS
Yes, I’m a dirty, a dirty old man
Said I’m a dirty, a dirty old man
You don’t have to tell me, I know what I am
I’m just a dirty, a dirty old man

I’ve got a collection of girly magazines
Some have got smudges from Vaseline
Some people judge me but I don’t give a damn
    I know I’m a dirty, a dirty old man

You know I’ve got memories of different times
Before I was ugly and covered with grime
I could talk to women and ask them to dance
Now I’m a dirty, a dirty old man

    REPEAT CHORUS

    I thought I had a conscience
But maybe it was just fear
With all the chances I had
How could I end up here?
The ghost of who I was
    Keeps me up at night
    I can’t look at myself
So I turn out the lights

    <repeat chorus>

This is actually my 3rd song, but the first one I've posted. It was
the first one I've finished tracks for.

This is the first song that I've recorded with my new setup and I was
in learning mode at the time.

The vocal track was a first take and I was unsure about the melody in
a couple of places. I apologize for the pitchiness. I also just
stuck with a single vocal track instead of doubling which would have
    made it sound better.

The rhythm guitar part is also a first take. And during the take, my
cat jumped into my lap and started biting the strings. Since this is
just a quick demo, I left the take with the weird noises and
    everything. :)

I recorded the guitar parts playing an acoustic guitar and then
started fooling around with some of the plugins and ended up adding distortion and stuff. Ah well.

I've got the bass and drum stuff for a couple of other tunes. I need
to record vocals on one and guitar and vocals on another. Hopefully,
    I'll get another up tomorrow.
