That's because you are not one of the 3 main companies that control 80% of the music business.
Fact: Live concerts and streaming = 73% of revenue.
    Here's some more facts.
Fact: the Richest Artists in the world make 75% of their money touring. That means hardly anyone is buying music.

Fact unsigned artists earn .0038 cents per stream, That means after 380,000 plays they make $1,472, the monthly minimum wage in the US.

Fact Spotify pays .0038 cents, Youtube .0006 cents to unsigned artists per stream.

Fact, one major pop star made an estimated 550 thousand dollars for one sponsored instagram post for Coca Cola.

Quote: The three major labels dominate the Spotify negotiaions... - DMN.

Fact: The average mainstream hit song has 4+ writers and 6 different publishers (digital music news.)

Fact: Live concerts and streaming = 73% of revenue.

Fact: The best selling vinyl of 2017 was made 50 years ago - Beatles, Sgt. Pepper.

The musicians you search out on the net, are making minimum wage at best. You don't want that for fast food workers, why do you allow it for the musicians you love?

Fact: 96% of all internet users consume licensed music? And 46% of all music streaming happens through YouTube? (DMN).

Fact: 35% that listen to the radio listen through the internet!

Let's bring it home to you the reader - every musician you know is making minimum wage or less from their music. So either support them or you are supporting the 3 corporations.
