From ChristianAMR@21:1/5 to All on Mon May 22 20:37:18 2023
Ocean has 20 entries . 8 of them have the -Kalyan suffix like Krishna Kalyan and Dhanakoni Kalyan .

Explanation by Abhijit Shenoy about both of these ( swara set SRGMPn ):

" Swaras are the same, but krishna kalyan uses rishabh freely both in aaroh and avaroh, whereas dhanakoni kalyan uses rishabh only in avaroh . "

    Tanarang :

This Raag has been adapted from Carnatic Music. By using Nishad Komal in Raag Maru Bihag, Raag Vachaspati comes into existence. Raag Champakali is a similar Raag in which Gandhar is dominant in Avroh, but in Vachaspati Rishabh is the dominant note in
    Avroh. "

For swarganga though Vachaspati and Champakali are identical .

Kusumi Kalyan by Parveen Sultana sounds interesting at times but has no drut and almost no one else sings it .

( Saraswati Kalyan on youtube by U Salamat is mislabelled - it´s only Saraswati )
