  • any good places to find reviews and recommendations?

    Hi.
    when I collect music online, I usually rely on ratings and reviews from allmusic.com (AMG) to find interesting artists/groups to explore.
    However, it seems to have relatively limited information on classical
    Indian music. Is there any alternative comprehensive website that
    is similar which offers more detailed information on Indian
    classical music?

    The concept of reviewing recorded music in Indian classical music is not seen as that important because this type of music is meant to be mainly appreciated in a live performance as there is an interaction of creation between the artists and the music.

    Still, some Indican classical musicians seem to release many records
    and I reckon they wouldn't be releasing all those records if there
    was no market for recorded music. If there are people collecting
    recorded music they tend to develop preferences regarding the music
    they enjoy the most.
