Why did Aria built Herb Ellis's PE-175 guitar in the late 1970's thru early 1980's? Well, HE wanted the Gibson '50's ES-175 if I'm right. But Gibson wouldn't work with Herb Ellis's guitar needs. At 1991, Gibson came up to ES-165, but before HE quite the
Aria and using the ES-175.
What's the difference between:
1) Aria HE PE-175 tailpiece (Herb Ellis) same as #2
2) Gibson L5 tailpiece same as #1
3) Gibson ES-275 tailpiece closer to L5, sorta
4) Gibson ES-175 tailpiece by itself
-----
Looks like:
1) Aria HE PE-175 body (Herb Ellis) #1,#2,#3
2) Gibson L5 body
3) Gibson ES-275 body
4) Gibson ES-175 body by itself
Ok, the body depth is 3.5" with #1 & #4, but #1, #2, & #3 looking the same place.
