This may be too late period but the best X mr66 takes a high density cassette tape period basically 8-tracks. You can record up to 8 soundtracks with only six inputs the best I remember. It works really well just a lot of work if you're doing it all by
yourself. Bottom line is if you don't like one of the tracks you lay down you can take get off and redo it. The 8-track cassette tapes will transfer to a regular cassette. Hope that's not too long from your original inquiry. The Don
