Hi all,
with Win 2k and XP, my AKAI S3000 (+SCSI) appears as an "optical drive" connected to my Tekram low-end SCSI controller. As the Mesa software apparently doesn't work with these systems, though, I've installed Win 98 on another harddisk (runs fairly well). However, the S3000 isn't listed anywhere,
which may simply be an OS issue and not an error. Anyway, Mesa still doesn't find the sampler, this time it shouldn't be due to Win 2k / XP. The error
msg
is the same as always: "Can't find any samplers on line".
I've selected "MIDI via SCSI" in the S3000's settings and I'm pretty sure
the SCSI connection is OK (e.g., I can address the PC's SCSI drives from
the S3000). BTW, isn't it a bit of a hassle to SWITCH between "normal"
and "SCSI" MIDI connection?
Thank you for any hints.
Cheers,
Alex
