I'm finally on the way towards a good pick grip where the pick
lies pretty steadily between the fingers, and allowing for some
volume, without needing a lot of pressure. I curl my index finger
so that it lies somewhat diagonally over the back of the pick,
and let the tip of it extend past the edge of the pick to some
degree. Works for me. I don't think using just the tip of the
index finger on the back creates enough stability. To each his
own.
