    Was on CD. Biddulph 83069. According to my records this was transcribed by Stock. Not the usual Schoenberg version. Recorded in 1941.

    Yes. I have that CD.
    It just occurred to me that this lively performance, with its remarkable tempo changes and accents, sounds vaguely similar to the Mahler 4 recording by Mengelberg. (I already knew that Stock and Mengelberg were classmates at the Cologne conservatory.)

    The video is unavailable, but orchestrations of BWV 552 have always struck me that the prelude is for all intents and purposes an Overture to one of Bach's orchestral suites.
