    What I meant to say was that you very likely think these jokes are an accurate portrait of reality... which they are not. And I do not believe that Atkinson seriously believes what he is implying about the Tories since he is one himself (at least not in
    anyway to the degree as portrayed in the video; and I think it's actually quite unfunny (after watchign the full vid just now) since it is not critical of real issues, just of imaginary ones "tories = racist")... he is a comedian... sometimes good,
    sometimes bad - but generally I like him very much.

    *One should maybe add - in defense of R. Atkinson - that times were different in 1982, and maybe it made sense to joke about this at that time (can't really judge, because I don't know enough about the political climate in england at that time).
