    Thanks! My favorite piano concerto - although not in these performances. Far too wild for my taste - in particular Uehara's version.

    If you don't like wild, you probably don't listen to #2. But I have a fondness for Gyorgy Sandor with Michael Gielen - a very musical version and not too percussive.

    Thanks! Sandor is a born Bartok interpreter, also in the third piano concerto. Uehara over-shouts herself, and Argerich's martellato does become quite tiresome eventually.
