Looks like this follows the acquisition of Primephonic. The lossless and "Spatial Audio" will be welcome in some circles, but I wonder if those
will require an Apple TV or some new Apple streamer to use in a home
    audio system.

The descriptions sounds not Apple-friendly at least on the desktop:
"Currently Presto Music offers applications for Android, iOS, and web
based playback. Macs with Apple Silicon chips will be able to use the
iOS app, but it isn't certified to work on the platform. I ran into an
issue with playback stopping at the end of each track on my MacBook Pro
(M2 Pro), but couldn't duplicate the issue on supported iOS platforms
such as my iPhone and iPad Pro."

I've used the Presto streaming service some.... It's not up to the
standards of the better services, but where I've used it is when
awaiting a physical disc, so it's an opportunity to (imperfectly)
hear an album in the interim.

To expand those remarks a bit: I'm dealing with downloads (not
streaming) more & more these days, but I sometimes want physical
discs -- including, as noted previously, when the liner notes aren't
available otherwise. As far as the streaming, first of all, there's
no second by second readout, meaning there's no visual indication
of where you are in a track. And then the music cuts out often --
far more often than any other service I've used -- and starts up
imperfectly, sometimes being confused about what track it's on, and
basically never thinking it's actually finished playing an album.
    (This is Linux desktop, fwiw.)

Bandcamp simply lets you download an album when you order the
physical disc. But Presto & others don't -- so that's where this
service comes into play for me.

    Physical discs taste yummier,
    especially with tapenade or
    hummus spread. ;-)
