    This short one act opera has closing pages (at 6 mins) that is incredibly beautiful, with orchestral writing for brass and strings that Strauss and Wagner wouldn't have been ashamed of. At a concert last year in Lviv, Ukraine, where beauty transcended
    the horror for a moment.

    Apparently Sikora's three short operas were recorded, but I see no sign of them, except for YouTube.

    I liked it. One string passage, to my ears, was a distant offshoot of the hunting song from Weber's der Freischutz.
