"Cette video n'est pas disponible dans votre pays." Sadly, a large percentage of videos from Arte Concert cannot be seen in Australia, presumably for contractual reasons. It is all very frustrating. I shall have to make do with Natalie Dessay and Laurent
Naouri. Vive la France, mort aux CGT etc.

Major problem. The Arte website was created by Alexandre and Julien of Bona Pagailles. The video of Lakme, which I was briefly able to access, is now marked as unavailable in my country even though my VPN is using a server in Paris. Some videos you can
chromecast to your television, some you cannot, the latter being problematic when it comes to family viewing. Some videos you can download to the storage card on your phone, but so far I have been unable to find any files I have supposedly downloaded ...

Fortunately I have been able to install NordVPM on my Google Library/Chromecast device which means I don't have to worry as much about casting from my phone to the TV. So I've just been able to watch Lakhme with Sab and Raph, and very, very good it is
too. Sadly, Arte is still telling me that Orphee dans les Enfers is'n available right now, although I can find it if I copy and paste the URL Melmoth posted into a browser. The whole thing is more than a little unpredictable, sadly, because there are
some great things there. I shall have another go at trying to download those programmes that are downloadable ... except that I just have tried and this time I can't find the "Download" links, rogntudjuuuuuuuuu!

Actually, France and Germany because the dialogues are in German while the arias are in French: the Arte subtitles are in French only, and I could not find any English subtitles. The production was by self-proclaimed gay Jewish kangaroo Barrie Kotsky,
and quite a lot of this very German Expressionist production resembles a performance of "Lulu" into which bits of "Orphee aux enfers" have been spliced for comic effect ....

I think, Melmoth, that this performance is not meant to be visible on Arte, which is not known for keeping videos available for a few months and this production originally appeared at the Salzberg Festival in 2019. This would explain why the Arte search
engine said that it wasn't available. Perhaps it got stuck in a cache somewhere?

    But yes, brilliantly done.

And now Orphee dans les Enfers / Orpheus in der Unterwelt have turned up on Arte, as has the list of Compositeurs français, but only if I use my Windows desktop or laptop. It remains irretrievable through the Android app.
