Except for a couple of fancy piano encore pieces you HATE classical music, it's pretty obvious.

So why don't seek greener pastures? Writing negative stuff here, hating people is a waste of your dwindling time.

How does a composer manage to write a score
longer than an hour without any music in it? It
sounds like s soundtrack of a horror movie,
    without any movie. Repetition, repetition,
    repetition, fugue, fugue, fugue, pointless
    counterpoint, pointless counterpoint,
    pointless counterpoint, brass flushing,
    brass flushing, brass flushing.

    I ask the question .....

Yada, yada. Piano music is the essence of classical
music. You probably suffer from fiddler envy.

you HATE classical music, it's pretty obvious.

Absolutely not. You have a thing for the word
HATE. You do not seem to be able to make a
    distinction between dislike and hate.

So why don't seek greener pastures?

There are no greener pastures than r.m.c.r.

    Writing negative stuff here,

Did you appoint yourself the thought
and speak police? r.m.c.r. neither has
    nor needs sheriffs.

hating people is a waste of your
    dwindling time.

Making things up again? I do not
hate anyone -- except of course
    metronomes or sewing machines.

You really need to get your brain
    unfucked.

I don't have an answer, but I will state that I at least appreciate that this kind of provocation is at least on-topic. I like Bruckner 8 and and don't even care if some people think this means my brain is damaged. Mind you, there are times when I tire
of Bruckner and can't "hear" anything in it that is stimulating. So it isn't like I can't understand people's problem with it.

How long until this thread becomes a discussion about Israel?

Dan, why not admit that you just don't get it? That's OK. What's not OK
is criticizing people obscenely because they view some music differently
from you. A statement like "Piano music is the essence of classical
music." is, frankly, silly, and you make yourself ridiculous by
    proposing it.

Welll, it seems clear to me that Dan knows a good deal about some
(much?) music for the piano, but his lack of knowledge of, or contempt
for, the orchestral and opera literature militates against taking him seriously.

He was obviously talking about Bruckner!

As a diplomat, he had an uncanny intuition
about the direction of German music ;-)
