It has two redeeming factors: it is short and very well performed. For the rest, even Addinsell has musically more to offer. The problem with Reger and Busoni is not that they are 'bad' but that they aren't good enough for the efforts they require from
    performers and audience.

Complete ignorant bullshit. If you've ever heard the
Reger PC your hearing aid must have been hypercharged.

The Reger PC has many pages marked ppp or pp.

I heard the Reger PC more times than you can count,
and also practiced it. The loud parts are what stands
out, while the quiet parts are just meh.

Here is another perfect example of you taking every
single word in the strictest literal sense and ignoring
the context. You are a 4D (deaf, dull, dumb, and dour)
    brainfucked literalist.

    Thanks for listening.

It was one of Van Cliburn's signature works. Ditto Andre Watts'.

For the rest, even Addinsell has musically more to offer.

Well. that's diluted Rachmaninov. No wonder.

Well, I grant you I'm not taking this literally.

I'm pretty sure you're lying through your teeth when you say you've practiced the Reger Concerto.
Why would you? It's the type of music you hate even more than Beethoven.
What are you practicing for anyway?
So on balance you either provide false information or you just lie. That's your contribution to RMCR.

In the Reger Concerto the middle mvt, Largo is all pp and ppp, and it's unforgettable, provided you've got ears.

The other thing is, the orchestra is quite small in the Reger.
The Brahms 2nd has got a bunch of trombones and a tuba; the Reger does not.
