certainly not a shrug as to desire to acquire such power.

In regard to action on climate change, I share Henk's cynicism with humanity and also the likelihood that some "beneficent" structure will act to force humanity into making changes to their use of fossil fuels and consumerism. The free market has failed
spectacularly at curbing emissions and consumerism, while voters continue to elect known climate change violators like Trump and Bolsinaro. It's a tough time for democracy.

I borrow my definition of power from a chairman of a political party who was also director of the radio and television station connected to that party (RIP): real power is the power to restrict the freedom of action of others.

The "free market" is a lie & a farce. It doesn't disperse power,
    it concentrates it.

"Free markets" are pure fiction as long as
only governments can print money. Crypto
currencies were imagined to address this
problem. Most likely they will go the way
of Dutch tulips. Only Herman will make
a profit while everyone else loses. ;-)
