In a sense, but we managed not to do it for quite a while, because
we didn't really have the means. Keeping some balance in the world
in this regard requires active effort, though, and that's largely
been missing.
We have to concentrate power to prevent concentration of power,
manipulate and control voters to prevent others from doing so.
Totally disagree with this sort of cynicism... very dangerous.
