Fake news, lies, disinformation....... Everywhere in the USA, China and Russia for a start, and it goes on from there.
I once trained and worked briefly as a journalist, so I'm very choosy about where I get my news. Currently a mixture of Al Jazeera, Euronews and the BBC. I like to have a few different sources. No twitter ever.

So like most people, I suppose, you primarily listen to news sources that you know will share your biases. Big deal.

Since you know so much about journalism and the truth, maybe you'd like to suggest some "unbiased" sources of information?

No, I would not. There are none. I prefer to listen to all sorts of news sources, and filter to the best of my ability. Where did I say, or imply, that I knew anything about journalism? I know someone who was a journalism major in college at the
University of Missouri. Does that count. Perhaps not as much as "once trained and worked briefly as a journalist"

Since you know so much, you do know (many people don't seem to) that there is a difference between an outlet's reporting of news and its editorial position. "Bias" refers to when the latter leaks into the former. IMO, the WSJ has long been better than
    most at keeping them separate.

Confirmation bias is a big problem for most everyone these days. The
Journal has done a better job than most of keeping bias out of the news
hole, though in recent years it has begun having problems in that
regard. Certainly the editorial page is, broadly speaking, conservative,
but makes no attempt to pretend otherwise, and frequently features
op-eds by people who are on the other end of the spectrum. I suppose
that's why the Left hates it so much :-).

I have plenty of sympathy for citizens in Russia and China who can't get reliable news. A lot less for those who get their "information" from conservative talk radio in the USA. And with the likes of Trump on Twitter, you can add that platform to the
    list of disinformation.

The hatred by the "left" might be due to seeing it as a branch of Fox News.

Which it isn't. But I suspect it's because the Editorial Board of the
WSJ believes in free market capitalism.
