While I love many Bach works (especially the cantatas) I've avoided the Orchestral Suites. This is doubtless due to my unfortunate imprint experience long ago with the Jean Francois Paillard versions - I still
have a headache caused by his blaring trumpets...

I now only have the Decca Marriner performances, and was wondering if
folks here could recommend some favorite recordings?

Decca Marriner is very good for the chamber orchestra style of its time. I prefer minimal chamber-like performances for the b minor, the early 80s Musica antiqua Köln being a favorite. They are also good in the others but they use a rather large
orchestra in the suites 1,3,4. More recent and a similar approach is Akademie für Alte Musik (harmonia mundi).
Minimal orchestra in all 4 and controversial but very interesting is Malloch's recording titled "Suites for dancing". I am not completely convinced by this approach in the two trumpet suites but I love it in the first two.

Even HIPper is the recording of the reconstructed originals of 1, 3-4 without the additional ceremonial brass and tympany, plus no. 2 of course, by Concerto Copenhagen under Lars Ulrik Mortensen. I love it. Much clearer.

I enjoy Richter on Archiv, and probably my favourite over several others including Marriner, Pinnock.

If the Marriner recording is the 1970 Argo version, it is one of the best Marriner recordings. As others have suggested, modern HIP versions like MAK, AAMB, Cafe Zimmerman, Malloch are all superb. I was especially taken with Goebel's contribution in the
Suite No.3 from the MAK set.

I've been busy the last week - reorganizing my CD collection - I'm
meticulous about doing this at least once each century - and I realized
I'd forgotten to thank all the kind folks here who suggested versions of
    the Bach Suites.

I ended up downloading the Cafe Zimmerman versions. I've certainly found
them to be lively and interesting.

I hardly buy CDs anymore, but like downloads for their convenience. I
found that the Bach suites are included in a 16 CD collection available
from Presto for $32 in MP3 or $48 in FLAC: https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/8501234--cafe-zimmermann

This set includes all of Bach's orchestral music, the Goldbergs, and two secular cantatas.

And also works by the following:

    Anglebert, Jean-Henri d' (1635-91)
    Avison, Charles (1709-70)
    Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel (1714-88)
    Corrette, Michel (1707–95)
    Courbois, Philippe (fl.1705-30)
    Garde, Pierre de la (1717-92)
    Grandval, Clémence de (1828–1907)
    Lully, Jean-Baptiste (1632-87)
    Marais, Marin (1656–1728)
    Vivaldi, Antonio (1678-1741)

I've only sampled the set thus far, but everything seems fine, and well recorded...

All orchestral work by Bach in this collection (including the works by
Carl Philipp Emmanuel) is very fine indeed.
I hesitated to recommend the 6 disk box (with all concertos and suites
by Bach) because it is no longer available. But this is a nice way to
    have it all.
