I haven’t read the article, but I don’t agree with the sentiment. At least, I don’t think that it’s harder to record a harpsichord than a piano and it’s probably easier than a church organ. There are heaps of truthful, and beautiful,
    harpsichord recordings.

    According to this:

    - Most people don't actually know how good a harpsichord can sound. It is particularly hard to record and an instrument ifor which the acoustical environment it is played in is very critical...

When it comes to difficulty in recording, could it be because of the harpsichord's low volume and the piano's percussiveness?

    - The harpsichord is an interesting instrument, challenging to play and difficult to record well...Mic’ing a harpsichord like a piano does
    not work.

Doesn't this depend more on the

    on the label?

It could be because the harpsichord is a right-wing instrument
and the engineers are left-wing; though I thought I heard
good sounding recordings of harpsichord, I must be a fool.
