    Here's an early Waldstein I found a while ago. Some of the early recordings are really special for me -- the first Liszt and Grieg. Not sure about this Waldstein, though just listening to it again to make this post, it seems very good.

    I thought you meant "less boring sonatas" not "less boring pianists". I wouldn't put sonatas 1, 8, 14, 17 on my list of favourites.
    For me. I'd choose sonatas 4, 7, 11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32.
