    Oh, right. I guess it's late. :-)

Didn't show up at Presto because it's under Zilberstein there, and
I'd filed it under Irnberger in my mind when I listened last time
    you brought it up....

Did feel like the violinist was the leader... shaping the movements
overall. Strong in that way, a little too much "main line" for me
though.... Very strong overall sweep/pacing though.

Impressive work by the people who put this together. It's still
not repertory I'm apt to spend so much time with, but another recent
step around the minnesingers (& their brethren German musicians-poets...), while we're at it:

    https://outhere-music.com/en/albums/under-der-linden

Likewise derives various polyphony from the monophonic sources, a
look at some highlights across various subgenres....

I guess these recent recordings, both of which seem very well
researched & well executed, really underscore prior impressions for
me: While minnesang is interesting as cultural-historical production,

In the past I enjoyed Paulin Büngden’s voice but for some reason, when I listened to that new recording when it first came out, I just didn’t enjoy it. Voices are like that for me! Some I
    like, some I don’t, I don’t think it’s a rational thing.

Ha, well, countertenor isn't even necessary to the repertory....
And I do probably enjoy Clara Coutouly's singing more myself... not
that Bundgen isn't also a very good singer. But where he certainly
excels is in program conception & the overall sound of his Ensemble

I enjoyed a lot David Kadouch's album Musiques de Madame Bovary on Harmonia Mundi. Lovely selection of works, with a high point being a great performance of Clara Schumanns Variations on a theme of Robert Schumann Op. 20 (the same theme from Bunte Blä
tter which Brahms then wrote his variations Op. 9 on).

    Hi everyone,

I'm so happy to be included (as a composer) on a great cd which just came out two days ago on streaming services, and which will be in shops as of January 6, 2023. Performers: The Crossing Choir, Donald Nally conductor: 'Carols after a Plague'. 12
American composers wrote carol-music as a reaction to the Pandemic (a year ago). Donald Nally also wrote beautiful interludes between the pieces. My work:

    https://open.spotify.com/track/53w87bPlmNH2ZrivcA4p3c?si=b0bd56a0258a4e58

uses text from Matthew Arnold. The sheet music is available at E. C. Schirmer. I'm so pleased with the performance, and with the company of the other composers! Please have a listen!

    Warm greetings from Rotterdam,
    Vanessa Lann
