any tips on removing musty scent from
old sax case? I was thinking leaving it
open under car windshield inside car on hot days
for two weeks. or maybe stripping out
    old velvet and re upholstering.

Maybe try putting in the baking soda boxes like the ones for the fridge/freezer

I had an old trumpet cast the same way. Tried freebteexe and the baking soda and about every trick known. I eventually left it open in the attic for about 6 months. At least that calmed it down a bit.
