    SPONTANEOUS LUNACY VERDICT: 3/10

I won't slam Samp because there was a time I would probably have have been not too far from hs territory with this one (see below) but it's a 8 for me

The young Rich was in the 1952 Singles Battle for all of ten seconds with this one

    PRELIM
9 Dave Bartholomew - Who Drank My Beer? - Imperial 5210
8 Little Richard - I Brought It All On Myself - RCA 5025

Okay.....,'fess up time - there was a time-when I was much greener on this group-when I didn't think much of the early RCA Richard sides. Always LOVED the Specialty stuff but those RCA's......

But thanks to another member here (he knows who he is) I did one of my several re-appraisals of an artists work and completely revised my opinion.

So as they say in the USA "thanks good buddy"

If Diane had chosen a non raucous link such as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKKJGrEto0g

I would not have disliked this Little Richard record.

Diane's in your face, raucous link:

What the FUCK are you talking about?

They are both the same, one is just at a louder volume. That doesn't make it more raucous, stupid. Just turn down the volume some when you play it.

This should say the 8 tracks. I did NOT have an 8 track tape :-)

They only say that in the south.

From the moment I heard this and "Ain't Nothing Happening" they were awesome tens, and the other 2 fast ones were nines. "Every Hour" is also a 9. "Please Have Mercy On Me" and "Why Did You Leave Me" were sevens and "Thinkin' About My Mother" is the
weakest of the 8 RCA sides, a 6.

Back in the 70s and the early 80s the only way to get these were on original records. At one time I had one of them on 45, but I traded it to Reicheg for the original Smiley Lewis album. I had the 8 track on this Camden album. It was shitting rechanneled
stereo, but if youhit the mono switch it sounded fine.

Then one day in like 1984 I was pulling the record out of the cover and I dropped it and it broke. A big piece broke off. I was sick. I knew someone who had a copy for sale, but him and I were ex friends who were pissed at each other for something. Him
and his cousin had threatened to kick my ass or something. But I had to get this copy. So I went down to this guy's store in lower Manhattan, but I brought a posse in case we had to fight. My ex-wife was with me, but also 2 friends. One was Frankie C who
was like 6-2 and 250 pounds then. So I was able to peacefully buy the album.

They are not the same, you abusive oaf. The other link is not raucous
even at max loudness (assuming speaker/headphone volumes are set for
the slider half way mark for the great majority of YouTube music
    links).

And these competing links also do not sound raucous at max YouTube
slider volume - they just sound too loud:

Screaming and Crying - Morris Pejoe
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIhB5_Gwf2A
    Country Woman – Boo Breeding
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1wlm2YXnm8
    Miss Annie - Plurals
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDN_snMOl8c

The raucous sound of the Diana link is due to one
or two instruments in the backing band, combined with
the, at the time, insensitivity or incompetence of the YouTube maker,
YEFJJ (even if he/she does have 4000+ subscribers).

Anyway, Bruce, now I've heard another YouTube for "Get Rich Quick"
    I apologize for questioning your "1952 - 628 - Get Rich Quick - Little
    Richard" - I was wrong.
