    What is "school intersession"?

I'm guessing its like what we call "half term holiday" here (that was a little while back when the schools all closed for a week at the halfway point in the term that ends at Christmas)

    -----------
It's a gap of a few weeks in between college semesters--typically from
the last week in December thru mid-January.
(And it's not misspelled; it's interSession, not interCession.)

I won't ask what "semester" means

I've studied the weird North American language long enough to know that one :)

Roger, it's likely more similar to your "school holiday"
    - the break between full terms/semesters.

Not sure yet. I've been busy as hell recently.
