The difficult to copy drumming is by Johnny Cuviello, who had joined
the Playboys in 1946 from Fresno CA - where the Texas Playboys were headquartered at the time.
The jazz-like recording session was improvised and Johnny Cuviello
said he was influenced by another song in the Texas Playboy
repertoire, "Hawaiian War Chant."
Bob Wills also introduces/names during the record, in his usual brief exclamatory manner, Herbie (Remington, on steel guitar) and Tiny
(Moore, on electric mandolin) who played extended hot solos.
