I guess its okay but I'm always surprised this side went to #1 in USA
when IMO the "Hello Mary Lou" side is soooo much better (and makes my
    Top 100 for 1961)

    John & Jackie - Little Girl [Aladdin 3425] - Jul 1958

Pretty ordinary outing notable only for the sounds of the lady herre---um....enjoying herself----rather loudly right?

Released on Nite Owl label before Donna. "My Babe" is the better side
    IMO

Rosie {Hamlin} and The Originals - Angel Baby [Highland 1011;;L.A.] -
    Nov 1960

The favotite "bad record" of a lot of folks I know. Here in UK we got
    a different (edited) version

Despite there being an untold number of suggestive R&B recordings the
risqué element in them seems to be only found in the lyrics.

Did it have the same atrocious sax break?

THis real nice guy in the UK has put up the British version (sans the
worst of the sax) on YT so you can hear it for yourself

    the US release:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__XRpRvCIlU

the sax break is about 21 seconds from 1:43 and it fits in with the
tempo and mood of the music; taken alone, of course it's 'atrocious',
but in the bigger picture anything brighter and more 'impressive'
would have made the sax break sound incongruous on this record

interestingly, the US Highland label incorrectly gives the length of
the record as 2:45, which is the length of the much shorter UK release
