the Discogs database is a bit 'micky mouse' with inconsistencies
in the way database fields are populated; I make up to 3 attempts
with different search criteria to find a match
anyway, it takes 6 minutes to search for 150 artist-songs
putting aside 26 Unreleased items, only 5 sides do not have label
details, and there are 5 or so wrong matches because the side
originally came out on an EP or album (this process only looks
for 7" releases)
admittedly there are quite a few missing 'year of release' for which
I again blame inconsistent Discogs database management :)
btw, below you will sometimes see a song title on the 2nd line
that is not the same as the song title searched for on the 1st line;
this 2nd line song title is actually the flip of the 1st line song
title - again, this is an example of suspect Discogs database
maintenance :)
