    I'm not laughing.

Barnes is like the Jive Five in your contests.....sweet 16 becomes 16 tons when the spotlight clicks on.

Since you've snarked your way off topic- you think Volpe starts at short opening night?

Must be the Yankees you are talking about. I don't pay attention to that team. I can't like a team that tells grown men how to wear their hair in 2023. The Big Yankees, with a whopping one pennant in the last 19 seasons. This year should make it a solid
20 seasons with just one pennant, and also 14 straight years with ZERO pennants.

BTW, ESPN gave a 10 question rules quiz to major league managers, players, and baseball writers. A true or false test where you can pick the answers out of a hat and get 50% right, but Aaron Boone only got one out of ten right.

I worked a game or 2 that Volpe played in at Delbarton. The last one was a home game where they played Immaculata in 2018 or 2019. I just looked up his minor league stats, the kid has real power, he's slugging over .500 for his minor league career.
Fielding stats look good too, low error totals for a minor league SS.

So, after three separate posts where you wax indignant over the banning of hirsute pursuit by the Yankee organization and your inevitable insertion of yourself as an umpire, you finally cleave to your almighty sabermetric book of life and conclude: "
Yes, Mr. Rowan, Anthony Volpe will start at shortstop for the New York Yankees"

    Whew!!

Next time I'll ask Bugge, baby!!

Unlike you, I don't just talk out of my ass. I do thorough research before I come to a conclusion. Volpe has a single, double and triple already in today's tilt vs. the Phillies.

If they win it all, they'll be in the class of the synchronized swimming team. :-(
