Often when I look for a YouTube song, I get the actual link, but when
I copy and paste that link into Excel, its name copies instead of the
actual link.
Like this....
Do You Wanna Dance - YouTube
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEZucB00rYo>
I then have to right click the above, then select edit hyperlink,
And this is produced ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEZucB00rYo
Is there a way I can get the actual link the first time ?
Thanks,

Thanks for this. I was looking forward to trying it, but alas, the same fucking problem. I even tried pasting it to Word first, but same thing.

I wasn't suggesting that you do that all the time. I just wanted to know if a URL can go in there at all without changing. At least you solved it.Well that would be too time consuming, and subject to my frequent typos,Thanks for this. I was looking forward to trying it, but alas, the same >>>> fucking problem. So, I go to YouTube and do a search for this in the
YouTube search window -> do you want to dance bobby freeman
many choices populate. I'll pick one, and this goes into the address bar,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVff7TJzc-Q
But when I copy paste it normally to Excel,
this is what is produced -> Do You Want To Dance - Bobby Freeman 1958 >YouTube

Unfortunately I don't have that option to copy link address. But like I
said, if I paste special text instead of the paste, it works.
