    The toughest choice was between 3 and 4. All of these would be 1s in many of the other groups.

    * The above ranking is a nice example of not really "savaging" a fine record. In group 7 I had the Charts in fourth place. The just had the misfortune of being grouped with the Platters, Ray Price, and Willie Cobbs!
    Somebody had to bring up the rear and Cobbs would have pained me, baby!!

    FINAL RANKINGS - same as Bill and Jim.


    1. Diamonds And Pearls - The Paradons - 27 (4 first place)
    2. Zoop - Charts - 27 (2 first place)

    3. No There Ain't No News Today - Penguins - 25
    4. Oh, Oh, Oh Baby - The Checkers - 21

    We had a tie for first between Mark's Paradons and Steve's Charts. Each record was listed higher on 5 of the ballots, so we go to most first place rankings, and the Paradons had 4 while the Charts had 2. No big deal though, as both advance into the ELITE
    8. Rick's Penguins were leading after 7 ballots, but got just 6 points across the final 3 ballots amd ended up 2 points back in this place, and done. Diane's Checkers got triple jumped and finished last.
