A few days after John Lennon was murdered in New York, on December 8,
1980, we found ourselves at Tittenhurst Park, his old country house.
Lennon had sold it to Ringo Starr, but the famous white piano at which
he'd written "Imagine" was still in the ballroom and there were notes
all over the walls, from John to Yoko and Yoko to John. It was very sad
and very poignant, and Lennon's presence was so strong, I half expected
him to make an appearance.
