He was not drunk. John was wrong. I could see him adding that on out of anger through the years, and saying it so much that he actually believed it. Julia darted out into traffic without looking. No one wants to blame their mother for her own death. The
inquest into it found that he was not drunk.
The same thing happened with the guy who accidentally killed Joe Biden's wife and young daughter in a car accident. Biden has said publicly that the guy was drunk, but he was not. I guess it sometimes happens when you're grieving and in despair and the
accident was so long ago.
