I have tried to sleep in the cars of many fellow
campers and have found that sleeping in a vehicle
can be quite a nightmare if you don't know what you
are doing. A simple problem like not venting
exhaust and a leaky window can mean not getting a
full night's sleep. Here are some tips on how to do
it right...
Have a plan before you start planning. If you are
going to camp for a few weeks or a month, then
think of the things you will need for the entire
stay. What equipment will you need to cook? A good
sized propane stove and pot can go a long way.
Also, if you don't want to be dependent on
electricity, make sure you have power cables, or
alternator cables. Some of the more well stocked
campsites will have power, or you can get one for a
small fee. If you have to buy your own gas, and you
plan on going for a while, you may want to get one
of these.
