Hey, good to see you, Danny. I wasn't here during the group's heyday, but I encounter your posts in the archives.

Did you in fact cover every Beatles song on Youtube?

I have no idea how Francie ended up, but I sense that, even with her supposed "friendship" with Yoko, it wasn't well.

Some of the other old-timers check in occasionally.

I'm a later arrival, but having browsed the archives, I know what you mean by "mostly." There were some interesting posters and discussions, but some crazy sh*t as well.

Thanks for the info. I found the comment. (One would think the person was violating doctor-patient confidentiality, but maybe Francie gave the person permission. Or perhaps she is too far gone to have an opinion.)

Yeah, Francie's posts show signs of a mental disturbance.

She certainly exploited her fling with McCartney for more than it was worth. There was her (barely readable) book, and she also had an article in Rolling Stone about those few weeks.

I wonder how friendly Francie really was with Yoko. Yoko doesn't strike me as the type who is good at maintaining friendships. I'm thinking, for example, of Marnie Hair and Sam Green.

Right, but is there a better venue? I was on Facebook for a time, and while it seems likely there are some decent private Beatles-related groups, the public ones I visited were horrifying. They were full of idiots who really believed that Paul was dead
and/or the Beatles were CIA agents.

Something has resulted in a generation of people whose entire worldviews are made up of paranoid delusions.

At least the small of number of people who still use newsgroups are mostly mentally viable.

One of those morons was insisting that John Lennon faked his own death and is actually alive and -- due to his supposed "love" of live performance -- busking in New York City's subways.

It's the kind of stuff I go online to *get away* from. A bunch of marijuana dispensaries have opened up around here, and there are glazed-eyed screwups shuffling about, mumbling about cabals and storms and so on.

Someone told me about a FB group that I'd have been into, but it was too late; I no longer use that platform.

Alien fog, you say? I think it's a combination of failed schools, excessive dope ingestion, mental illness, websites that will promote any stupidity ("The earth is flat"'; "Hollywood is run by satanists"; "Trump's going to be reinstated") -- and Trump.
Trump didn't merely lower the bar as far as to how an American politician can behave; he was completely oblivious to the existence of any standards. And in parts of the country where the publics schools don't do what they're supposed to, people *mimic*
Trump as far as the false bragging, the conspiracism, and the habit of repeating bizarre phrases over and over instead of speaking in sentences.
