    Too bad John wasn't amenable to Paul's wish to play in small clubs (as the Beatles) again. That would have improved his live performance chops.

    Paul says that John "did this Toronto thing, and had a really great time." The "Live Peace in Toronto" show is on Youtube. I find it painful to watch. John & Clapton were both on smack (I read that they had been puking their guts out on the trip up),
    the band was under-rehearsed, and Yoko indulges in one of her worst intrusions ever. John's set was nowhere near the caliber of his Beatles.performances. He doesn't look or sound like he's having a great time.

    I understand what he's saying as far as Abbey Road being more of a traditional LP. There's less filler on AR than there was on the WA.

    Are the best songs of Abbey Road better than the peaks on the White Album? I'm not sure...
