    He had a number of nice roles when he was older. Great in a Blue Bloods episode, nice juxtaposition between the very conservative Tom Selleck and very liberal Ed Asner.

    Not long after I met Eddie*, I met Ernest Borgnine and I told him I just met Ed Asner.
    Borgnine said that Asner was one great guy, although the men were not close friends.
    Now both men I admired are gone.
